WASILLA - Alaska won another strange game Sunday afternoon, outscoring a troubled West squad 22-10 at McManus Field in Wasilla.

Road Warriors head coach Steve Mossburgh said two West coaches were ejected during the game, which also included a heated on-field debate among the Eagles' coaching staff.

West's head coach was ejected during the seventh inning, and a second coach was tossed later after the coaches began arguing amongst themselves.

&#8220It was like a melee out there,” Mossburgh said Monday.

While the sideshow may have kept fans entertained, the action on the field was pretty exciting as well.

Alaska was on the verge of winning by mercy rule, leading 11-3, but West rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the frame to pull within 11-10.

Alaska played as the away team despite the game being contested in Wasilla.

The Road Warriors then exploded for 11 more runs in the final two innings to again pull away.

Mossburgh said his squad hit the ball well across the board, with Tyler Eli and Wes Smith leading the way with four hits each. Mossburgh also noted that Robert Fitch had a triple and Josh Boring executed two successful suicide squeeze bunts.

&#8220They all hit the ball well,” Mossburgh said.

The game marked the second in seven this season to include a bizarre on-field incident. Earlier this season, the Road Warriors defeated Service after the Cougars had a player ejected and were left with too-few players to field a team.

Kody Ziter and Wes Smith pitched for Alaska.

The win moved the Road Warriors to 3-4 on the season and ended the team's four-game losing streak.

&#8220We needed to get a win,” he said.

Alaska next faces Bartlett at 6 p.m. Friday at McManus.
