ANCHORAGE — Rains washed away the action during the third day of the Alaska American Legion state baseball championships at Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage on Monday.
The Wasilla-based Alaska Road Warriors were slated to face Fairbanks in a second-round matchup Monday afternoon, but that contest was one of two games postponed until Wednesday.
The Warriors will now play Fairbanks Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Mulcahy, assuming Mother Nature cooperates. A win would move Alaska into a semifinal match on Thursday. A loss would force the Warriors to play again at 7 p.m.
The Road Warriors started their tourney Saturday morning with an 8-7 win over Chugiak in extra innings.
