Bob was a drywall contractor his entire life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and carving. He served in the United States Army.

His family said, "Bob was born Oct. 16, 1953, third oldest. He was a free spirit and was proud of his Native heritage. He loved his children and family. A drywaller by trade, he was one of the best at his craft. Bob traveled throughout the state to do his job. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and liked to carve ivory and soapstone. He also enjoyed a swift ride on a Harley- Davidson as well as snowmachines. Bob served his country in the 1970s, leaving Alaska to do so. When his service was over he came back to the state he loved, and where he was born. A true Alaskan son. He will be remembered as a beloved son, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew and brother."

Visitation will be held one hour prior to a 2 p.m. funeral service today at Anchorage Funeral Home and Crematory. A reception is to follow the service at the family's house.
