He was born July 17, 1947, in Seward. His family left Alaska when he was a baby, but he returned with them in 1965. He lived in San Francisco in the early 1970s but returned to Alaska until 1986, when he moved to Crescent City, Calif. He came back to Alaska in 1989 and was a resident of Palmer until his death.

His family and loved ones said, "Robert was a Christian and he is in the Lord's loving arms now. He lived at Daybreak Apartments in Palmer for many years and will be missed very much by his friends there."

He is survived by his son, Kirk Worthington of Cheney, Wash.; grandchildren and his sister, Marguerite Guest of Wasilla. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Guest, and mother, Shirley Guest.

A memorial service will be held Sept. 7 at Daybreak Apartments' community room at 1 p.m. It will be officiated by the Rev. Howard Bess. Memorials may be sent to Daybreak Inc., Palmer.
