Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Robert Don (Bubba) Long, 58, died July 1, 2001, from a stroke, at his Wasilla home. A private service was held in the home on July 3.
Mr. Long was born Jan. 20, 1943, in Heartshorn, Okla. He had served in the Army National Guard. He came to Alaska July 1, 1994, and resided in Wasilla.
Mr. Long was disabled.
Survivors are his wife, Patsy Ruth Long; daughter, Sandra Nicksen; son, Dayton Long; and two grandchildren, all of Wasilla; three sisters and one brother in Hobbs, N.M.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory.
