WASILLA — Rodeo Alaska is returning to Palmer over Memorial Day weekend.
They’re holding the PRCA Northernmost Extreme Bulls Event in America Friday, May 27, and Saturday, May 28. They’re also holding the Memorial Day Weekend Rodeo Sunday, May 29, and Monday, May 30. Both events take place at the Alaska State Fairgrounds.
“It’s the spirit of western heritage and what America is truly all about,” Rodeo Alaska owner, Frank Koloski said.
The Ken Peltier Band and other Alaskan artists will be performing live Saturday evening. There will also be vendors and rides by Golden Wheel Amusements available onsite throughout the weekend.
According to Koloski, their overall efforts at Rodeo Alaska are faring well. He said they’ve seen a large increase in youth and adult participation over the years.
“We’ve been truly blessed,” Koloski said. “I’m truly honored to really have an impact on the community as a whole.”
Rodeo Alaska will return to Palmer for the 2022 Alaska State Fair Rodeo. Koloski said they enjoy working with the Fair staff and appreciate their scenic and family-friendly venue.
