Ronald (Ron) Dean Neffendorf
Ronald (Ron) Dean Neffendorf, beloved husband, father, and papa went to be with Jesus on March 29, 2022, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Above all, Ron was a family man being guided by his strong faith. He led by example with his loving heart, generosity, and kindness. He had a great influence on the lives he touched.
Ronald grew up in Portland, Oregon along with his 3 siblings. He worked for his father’s air balancing business which brought him to Alaska in May of 1983. In 1985, Ron started his own company, “Alaska Air Balancing.” Ron strived to always be fair, not only to his customers but also to his employees creating a reputation of integrity throughout the Alaska construction community.
Ron adored his wife, Carla. He consistently showered her with affection and compliments. His family and friends always joked that he could never say no to her, even when the Amazon boxes started showing up a little too often. Together they had 6 children and 12 grandchildren. While you might find Ron with a golf club or a bowling ball in his hand, more often than not, you could find him in his lazy boy recliner with his grandkids.
Ron openly shared his home with family and friends. He provided a safe and stable home for his kids, their friends, and then some. Ron was always positive and genuinely saw the good in people. He was dedicated to helping his community through his brotherhood at Promise Keepers and was always willing to give a helping hand. If you knew Ron, he probably sang you Happy Birthday obnoxiously loud and made a lot of one-liner jokes that kept you laughing.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Neffendorf. His children Tishe (Matt) Link, Lisa (Jason) Ball, Calvin (Jen) Culverwell, Brandi (Cody) Barber, Bethany (Brett) Hintz, and Quinten Neffendorf. Grandchildren Kyanna, Caydin, Kyzer, Sonya, Kinsley, Bryant, Allie, Eli, Dalton, Columbus, Aria, and Mayson. His sister Barbara (Mike) Warren and brothers Bill (Sandy)and Dale (Diane) Neffendorf.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Ronald (Babe) and Elizabeth (Betty) Neffendorf.
A celebration of life will be held at Palmer Church on the Rock Friday, May 27, 2022, at 11:00 am. A fellowship brunch will follow.
