Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Willow resident Rosa Lea Behn, 63, died Feb. 11, 2002, at her residence.
A visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Kehl's Palmer Chapel from 1 to 4 p.m., with a short memorial service at 4 p.m.
Mrs. Behn was born in Ponca City, Okla. She arrived in Anchorage in 1968 and lived in Anchorage for six years before moving to Sunny Drive in the Willow area in 1974. She was a waitress and a cook and was also a member of the Willow Ambulance Service for seven years.
Her family said, "She was a very loving mother, wife and friend. She will be sorely missed by all. She liked to be outdoors with family members and to go RVing."
She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters and her former husband.
Mrs. Behn is survived by her husband, Curtis Behn; sister Bernice Lenke of Pukon, Okla.; brother Roy Doughty of Olsberg, Kan.; three daughters, Vansia L. Nunley of Sedro Wooley, Wash., Wanda G. Hamilton of Newport News, Va., and Anita A. Dalton of Concord, N.C.; one son, William G. Willhite of Anchorage; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be directed to the American Diabetes Association, 801 West Fireweed Lane, Suite 103, Anchorage, AK 99503.
Arrangements were made by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
