The LifeGuard emergency medical response helicopter was a hit during a recent visit at Pioneer Peak Elementary School. Operated through Providence Alaska Medical Center, the visit by the LifeGuard helicopter and crew was the culmination of an educational unit on safety. Kids were left with the message of always wearing a helmet when riding on snowmachines, four-wheelers, other ATVs, skateboards and bicycles. In addition to the tour, the kids were impressed with the helicopter’s landing and takeoff at the school.
