The Santa Cop program has been up and running for six years. This year is projected to be the biggest yet. Here’s some information on the program and how you can help:
Donation drop off points:
• Greater Palmer Chamber of Commerce
• Alaska Job Corps
• Palmer Library
• Palmer Ice Arena
• Palmer Police Department
• Wasilla Police Department
• KAYO 100.9 Country Legends radio station
What they need:
• Socks, puzzles, blankets, hats, gloves, pet supplies or anything else a senior citizen might like.
To lend a hand:
• Stop by the Palmer Train Depot on Saturday between noon and 5 p.m. to help wrap presents.
How many seniors the program helps each year:
• 2007: 20
• 2008: 56
• 2009: More than 100 (projected)
