Hi neighbors. It's been 2 weeks, and I gotta admit it's a bit difficult to stay on task. I have always had a sweet tooth, and it's my biggest downfall. I made cookies last weekend and sent some with my husband to work, and mailed the rest to my daughter. The good news is I got them all out of the house right away. The bad news is, of course, I ate a few too. The next day I had salad—only salad—to try to offset the extra calories from the cookies. The message here is if you had a bad day yesterday….BLOW IT OFF. Get over it. Today is a new day, and a new opportunity to have a great day!
Me with my sweet tooth—I've found that if I want a sweet snack at night some sugar-free jello (with almost no calories), or a serving of sugar-free jello pudding does the trick for me. I make the jello using a diet soda instead of half of the water; it adds more flavor. I love the pudding. Don't buy the pre-packaged kind of pudding—make it yourself using fat-free milk. It only takes about 3 minutes to make, and about 5 minutes to set. It's less expensive than the pre-packaged kind, tastes more fresh, has less calories and you're not buying a bunch of wasted packaging. Best yet, it actually tastes good! If you really want to dress up the jello or pudding, add a dallop of fat-free Cool Whip.
