Say ‘no’ to big oil

To the editor:

Instead of complain’ about high oil prices, let’s do what we can to reduce demand.

Turn heating-fuel heater thermostats down to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, turn ’em off as soon you can this year and use extra blankets and sweaters in the house.

It is spring, already! Trade in those SUVs and behemoth gas-guzzlin’ trucks and buy efficient, compact commuter cars. Use your muscles with a hand shovel to move snow rather than fuel operated machines. Put your snowmachines into storage early for the year. Buy sailboats and rowboats and hike for recreation this summer instead of using motorboats.

You’ll get a six-pack beach-body, and you’ll live longer, too — assumin’ ya’ll don’t die on me first!

Just say “no” to big oil!

Here’s lookin’ out fer ya’ll.
