School board approves make-up day next week

The Mat-Su Borough School District School Board has approved Feb. 21 as a make-up day for six Palmer schools closed Feb. 9.

Feb. 21 is now a regular school day at Butte Elementary, Swanson Elementary, Sherrod Elementary, Palmer Junior Middle School, Palmer High School and Valley Pathways.

Parent-teacher conference day will remain Feb. 20, but with extended hours from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Midnight Sun also will use Feb. 21 as a make-up day and parent-teacher conferences are on Feb. 20.

Academy Charter School, however, will have its make-up day Feb. 20, with parent-teacher conferences Feb. 21.
