Before the regularly scheduled meeting of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District (MSBSD) School Board on November 19, Superintendent Dr. Randy Trani swore in newly elected member for District 7 Lori Colee. She will take the place of Ted Swanson, who chose not to run for re-election.
Dr. Trani also swore in Kendal Kruse, District 2, and Brooks Pitcher, District 5, who were re-elected to the spots on the school board.
The school board then elected the officers for the next year, in accordance with Board Policy 9120, which states that within seven days after certification of election results, the Board shall meet to elect a president, vice president and clerk.
The board re-elected Kathy McCollum as president, Andrew Shane as Vice President, and Kendal Kruse as clerk.
