As a little girl, I was fast. In fact, I was the second fastest kid in the school when we did the mile run for PE class. Occasionally there would be parents who came into the class room, or on field trips and participated in the different events; climbing ropes at gym, climbing mountains for our spring outing. I noticed that I had no problem dashing past them. I would look down from my lofty perch, shaking my tiny (but perhaps slightly swollen) head and think how I was in such better shape than they. I swore I would never let myself become one of "those" adults.
Oh how the world turns tables. Usually passing the desserts my way. 35 lbs. over weight isn't as bad as it gets, but what makes me ill, angry, regretful, and really feeling those 35lbs, is when I visit my parents class rooms. They teach elementry school. Is that enough said? I wont even mention what happened when I showed up on Field Day.
Most simply stated, it's time for a change. I can already feel my mind resisting. My body is flat out (wonderful punn) certain I wont do a thing. So I must find conviction else where… Here's hoping many of you out there write wonderfully inspiring updates.
Good Luck!
