Valley Arts Alliance reminds the public that Saturday is Second Saturday. The following events are scheduled throughout the Valley:
What: “Bad Boys Gone Gray”
Where: Valley Performing Arts, 251 West Swanson, Wasilla.
Description: If you’ve met those “Hot Aging Women,” you’ll want to get to know their husbands, lovers, brothers and friends in the new musical “Bad Boys Gone Gray.”

When: Through May 22. 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays.
Tickets: $17 for youth/seniors, $19 for adults. Groups of 10 or more for a single performance receive a 10 percent discount.
What: “A Native Lad” exhibit
Where: Dorothy Page Museum, 323 N. Main St.
Description. By Sarah Hurst, “A Native Lad” explores the art of the graphic novel and the history of Alaska. View work by Alaska artists Peter Dunlap-Shohl, Shanely McCauley, Lee Post and Duke Russell. Hurst will be in attendance and giving a presentation, from 2 to 4 p.m.

What: Alaska Kite Festival
Where: Rusty’s, 320 E. Dahlia Ave, Palmer.
When: Begins at 10 a.m. and runs all day.
Description: Bring your kite and fly it on the green outside Rusty’s. Nancy Angelini Crawford will have an art show inside the restaurant, and she will be painting outside.

What: For the Love of Dogs.

When: Saturday through June 9. Artists’ reception 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
Description: Original art by local artists. Part of the proceeds of any sale will go to support a dog at a local shelter. Hot dogs will be served!

What: “Rough,” by Keren Lowell.
Where: Sheldon Community Arts Hangar, Talkeetna.
Descroption: This fresh collection of work brings a non-traditional sensibility to the world of textiles and fiber art. Lowell is interested in both the vulnerability and ruggedness of cloth. She uses rags, sacks, towels and vintage textiles in her work, calling attention to their imperfections by felting, knitting, stitching and weaving back into worn areas. Show will be on display at the North Wall Gallery until early June.
