WASILLA — Wasilla senior Jenna Johnson matched the scoring effort of the entire Kodiak squad and the Warriors cruised to a 50-25 Northern Lights Conference win over the Bears at Wasilla High School on Thursday.
Johnson hit 10 shots from the floor and scored a game-high 25 points in the win. Sophomore Kelsey Cottle added seven.
Wasilla improved to 7-3 in NLC play with the win.
The Warriors host a pair of nonconference opponents this weekend. North Pole hits Wasilla High tonight and West Valley is at Wasilla on Saturday.

HOUSTON — Despite trailing after the first eight minutes, North Pole recovered to grab a 40-21 win over the Houston Hawks at Houston High.

HOUSTON — Houston grabbed its first Mid-Alaska Conference victory of the season with a 39-35 win over the North Pole Patriots at Houston High School on Thursday.
Senior Bryan Mason scored a game-high 15 points for the Hawks. Lonnie Moore added eight in the game.
