Senior senator worthy of support

Many in the public are aware of the good U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens has done for the state as a whole, but I would like to state my personal thanks to the senator for his help concerning a survey issue on my property with the federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Thanks to him, BLM corrected its survey and my original survey is now in the Congressional Record. I could not have managed this without his help. He has my support.

The voters need to take into consideration whether or not it is smart to look at his age and not his seniority in Congress. A friend who was at a recent meeting where the senator was a speaker said the senator showed no evidence of the senility that can come with age. His age should not be an issue in this election.

Think about how important seniority in the Senate is to Alaska when Alaska has only one member in the House of Representatives representing Alaska.

And don’t forget to vote in the primary Aug. 26.
