Service should be a very important part of our lives

To the editor:

I believe service should be a very important part of our lives, and opportunities to find areas to serve isn’t easy enough. I believe that a small area in the newspaper should be devoted toward service opportunities. For example, if a church is having a canned food drive or an organization is having a trash pick up, advertising for volunteers could dramatically increase the amount of charity in our community.
