WASILLA - It'll be a Good Friday for Valley golfers.
Settlers Bay Golf Course is slated to open today, weather permitting, Settlers Bay's Sam Bomar said Thursday afternoon.
The front nine will be the first section to open. The conditions of the back nine are still a bit too wet, Bomar said. Golfers can either play nine holes for $15, or cycle through the front nine twice for $22. Carts are available for $14 per person, but use is restricted to cart paths only.
Bomar said the conditions of the front nine have been good, and there will be no temporary greens on the first nine holes when the course opens. An April 14 opening is pretty comparable to the first dates the course has been open for the last several years, Bomar said.
Bomar asks golfers 376-5466 ahead of time. The course is slated to open at 11 a.m.
