Seward musher leads Montana Creek field

MONTANA CREEK — More than 40 mushers and sjijorers hit the Montana Creek Dog Mushers race track for the first races of the season last weekend.

Daryl Hollingsworth, of Seward, was victorious in a compettive field in the open class. He posted a time of 30 minutes and 14 seconds on the 10-mile course during the first day and 29:46 the next.

Greg Jurek was the top skijorer on both days, finishing first on the three-mile course.
