Sex with young girls earns man charges

PALMER — A 21-year-old man faces a list of serious felony charges after Alaska State Troopers charged him with allegedly having sex with two underage girls.

According to documents Alaska State Troopers Investigator Sherry Ferno filed in the court case against Christopher L. Jorge, the first report about his activities came in at 10:55 a.m., June 14.

A mother called troopers to report she’d found Jorge and her daughter under the girl’s bed. She said Jorge was 18 (turns out he was 21) and that she suspected he’d been having sex with the girl.

Ferno later interviewed the girl, who told her that she’d had sex with Jorge at four different houses, that she met him at a friend’s house and that she kept in touch with him through Facebook and phones belonging to her friends.

“She told Chris when she was at her friend’s house that she was 14 years old,” Ferno wrote. “Chris said she did not look 14.”

Ferno wrote that of the four different sexual encounters between Jorge and the girl, three were witnessed by other people and all happened in the Palmer and Wasilla areas.

Ferno wrote that at the start of this month, she started talking to those witnesses. One, a 16-year-old girl, told Ferno that she also had sex with Jorge one night when the 14-year-old was staying over at her house.

On Aug. 16, Ferno wrote, she talked to another 14-year-old who told her that one night when she was staying over at the house of the first girl Jorge allegedly had sex with, Jorge had also had a sexual encounter with her.

“(The girl) said she did not want that to happen and she felt violated,” Ferno wrote. She also said she saw Jorge and the first girl have sex.

Jorge was arrested Aug. 23 and charged with eight felony counts of sexual abuse of a minor and jailed at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility, where he remained as of Wednesday morning.
