SHALYN KAY ADAMS

Mrs. Shalyn Kay Adams, 32, died of heart failure in Willow Nov. 16, 2002. A memorial service was held at Valley Funeral Home in Wasilla Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sid Robertson officiating.

Mrs. Adams was born May 31, 1970, in Ionia, Mich. She moved to Alaska in 1983, residing in Willow.

She was a wife, mother and homemaker. Her husband remembers her as, "The love of my life, my best friend and sweetheart, wonderful mother and wife. We all miss your smile and laughter and your twinkly eyes. Full of warm embraces and always there to comfort."

"Aunt Sondie and all the family will love and miss the beautiful you," her favorite uncle, Randy, said. "May you rest in peace."

Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband Norm Adams; her children Kristyn Faith Adams, 5, Zachary Jordan Adams, 4, Larry Blythe III, 10, and Destiny Rose Brueggeman, 14. She is also survived by her mother Stephanie Jennings; her father Jimmy Voorheis; sisters Corrine Barrette, Jolyn Johnson and Jaclyn Johnson; brother Jeff Voorheis; grandparents Kathleen and Robert Royal, Leonard Guernsey; five uncles; two aunts; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home.
