A single gun shot was fired during a road range incident near Palmer High School Sunday.
The Alaska State Troopers received a report from man who said he and his son were shot at. The report came in at about 4 p.m. Sunday.
With the help of witnesses, troopers were able to locate the suspect, Brian Burton, 47, of Palmer, on Monte Vista Drive in Palmer.
“Investigation revealed that Burton was angered by the other driver for some reason. Burton stopped his vehicle and fired a single round from a pistol across Bogard from Hemmer in the direction of the other driver,” troopers said.
Burton was arrested and charged with third-degree assault and reckless endangerment. The weapon was located and seized, troopers said.
