WASILLA — Jeff Smith with DG Signs put the finishing touches on a new sign at Cottonwood Creek Elementary School in Wasilla Friday. Principal Lisa Vrvilo, said the school worked for the past four years to earn and save money to upgrade its signage. The sign is part of a five-year to upgrade signage at all Mat-Su Borough School District sites, according to Dave Anderton — director of operation and maintenance for the district. Classes resume Aug. 14 for district students in first through 12th grades.
