Smith and Smith, united in July

WASILLA — Andy and Vivian Smith of Palmer announce the marriage of their daughter Rachel E. Smith to Justyn M. Smith of Wyoming, Ill. at a wedding held on July 21 at Birch Harbor Baptist Church in Wasilla.

The wedding was attended by Sarah Smith, sister of the bride, Samantha Smith, sister of the groom, Kimberly Sommerdorf, Stephanie Veenstra and Jessica Day.

Rachel grew up in Palmer and is a 2003 home school graduate. She attended Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Fla., graduating in 2007.

Justyn is the son of Dale and Annette Smith of Wyoming, Ill. and also was a 2003 home school graduate, later completing course work at Pensacola Christian College in 2007.

The couple met while taking courses at college.
