To the editor:
I don’t understand why they have to leave such big berms in the driveways. My mother is 72 and lives alone. She tries very hard to clean her yard of snow. Today when I got to her house they had plowed and left a big berm in the driveway. When I call they tell me that it should be cleaned but it isn’t. It really would not take any extra time to plow just a little bit more as they go down the road. Let’s be kind to the citizens of the Mat-Su Valley, especially our elders. We should not ever do anything that could cause harm to them and leaving berms in the driveway like that is one such thing. I hope that they will clean them out next time. It is hard enough on her to try and clean out the driveway, and then to have a big berm left there after she shovels. Thank you.
