Snowmachiner sought in hit-and-run

Alaska State Troopers are searching for a man who hit a vehicle with his snowmachine and fled without stopping.

The incident occurred Nov. 28 at 2:30 p.m. at Mile 1 Pittman Road, troopers said in a press release. A Wasilla man driving the vehicle was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $150.

The snowmachine was a yellow 1990s model Polaris with a missing cowling, troopers said, and the driver was a white male with brown hair, black helmet and black coat. Troopers urge anyone with information to call the Palmer trooper office at 745-2131.
