The Palmer Moose boys and girls swept a four-match series over the weekend in Kodiak.
The Palmer boys opened with a 4-0 win over the Bears on Friday. Elijah VonGunten scored twice. Porter Johnson and Kaleb VonGunten added goals. The Moose followed with a 7-0 victory on Saturday. Bodie Miller notched a hat trick. Noah Gallego added two goals. Johnson and Elijah VonGunten also scored.
Kaylee Gallego and Lila Pettit each scored twice to lead the Palmer girls to a 5-1 win on Friday. Palmer also beat Kodiak 9-0 on Saturday. Petit and Jada Becker-Santana each had a hat trick. Charlotte Marciales had two goals. Gallego also scored.
The Wasilla girls finished 1-1-0 against a pair of Fairbanks rivals. Lainey Kroon used a goal and an assist to help the Warriors beat West Valley 4-0. Mylee Anderson, Violet Schachle and Makenna Hanson also scored. Dani Steiner added an assist. Larkynn Miner earned the shutout in the Wasilla net.
Lathrop edged Wasilla 1-0 on Friday.
The Colony boys and girls each beat Lathrop on Saturday. Johnny Figgins scored twice to lead the Knights to a 5-0 win over the Malemutes. Isaac Villa, Aiden Donahue and Alex King also scored.
Avrie Geigerich scored all four goals during a 4-3 win over the Lathrop girls.
West Valley edged the Colony boys 2-1 and the girls 1-0 on Friday. Villa scored for the boys.
