Hazards in the burn area

People returning to the fire area may notice smoke and other signs of fire smoldering in the area. People are advised to watch for these hazards to avoid injury. Watch for trees with burned out root systems that can topple easily. Do not walk in the burned area. White ash may indicate pockets of deep ash where roots and other vegetation continues to burn below the ground level.
