MAT-SU — Analog televisions will have not pictures Friday.
Friday is the nationally mandated day for stations to turn off their analog broadcasting signals. Televisions with digital antennas, digital converter boxes or a paid subscription services like cable or satellite will be unaffected.
Local stations will turn off their analog signals at various times throughout the day. KAKM Channel 7 and KTBY Channel 4 will make the switch to all digital at midnight tonight. KTVA Channel 11 and KIMO Channel 13 will both turn their analog signal off at noon tomorrow. KTUU Channel 2 and KYES Channel 5 will remain on the analogue air all day Friday, turning their signals off at midnight before Saturday.
