"SONNY" FRANCIS MARION JONES IV

The life of "Sonny" Francis Marion Jones IV, a Wasilla resident, died April 24, 2003, in Big Lake at the age of 23. At this time, no memorial service has been scheduled.

Mr. Jones was born on Feb. 2, 1980, in Reno, Nev. He moved to Soldotna in 1990 to live with his father and later moved to Wasilla where he resided until his death.

His mother wrote, "Sonny's smile and love for my lasagna will be a cherished memory of mine. He was a charming young man who loved family and adorned us with his time. Just five months ago he treated me and his brother and sister to a day at "Circus-Circus" in Reno, Nev., where we stayed up late laughing and eating home-made German Chocolate Cake in honor of his birthday. His last words to me were 'I love you' as he yelled across the airport to return to Alaska. It is my deepest sorrow that I will no longer be able to share these times with or hear these words from Sonny -- he is deeply missed. I look forward to meeting with him once again in Heaven."

He is survived by his mother Bonnie Josephine Pigott and siblings Willy and Lacy Pigott, all of Sacramento, Calif.; father Francis Marion Jones III of Wasilla; and grandmother Joan Jones of Reno, Nev.
