There are lots of Republicans down here in South Carolina, thank goodness. I live in what we refer to as the most Republican County east of the Mississippi, Lexington County! I know we won’t see much of McCain and Palin down here but we’re still out there fighting for them.
I teach eighth-grade history and encourage my students to keep up with current events from many different media sources and to be responsible for who they vote for. We’re planning on holding a mock election on Oct. 30 to teach the students about being a responsible citizen and how to vote.
Several of us have been volunteering at the local Victory 2008 Republican campaign headquarters in Columbia, S.C. I’m so excited about Sarah Palin, which made me more excited about the Republican ticket. The more I read about her and hear her speak, the more impressed I am. I’m ready for Nov. 4 to get out and vote.
I just wanted to write and share that many Southern women are very pleased. Hang in there governor, we’re for you and McCain in South Carolina!!!
