Spectrum misses mark on Islam

Chuck Legge’s vitriol directed at Rep. Carl Gatto is misplaced. It should be directed at those who use our system against us.

In each and every state where Islam is gaining a foothold, sooner or later there is an attempt to subvert the law and implement Shari’a law. The Constitution may be the supreme law of the land, but the liberal mindset wants a moving target where the interpretation of that law is concerned.

HB88 was intended to insure that there was no reason for CAIR or the local mosque in Anchorage to concern itself with anything beyond its doors. Islam is not just a religion, as Mr. Legge knows full well. Islam is the government, religion, social rules and moral guide, replete with the cult of the leader (Muhammad).

Unlike Christianity, which renders unto Caesar, Islam demands submission from the secular state. Our Constitution is an anathema to Islam.

Mr. Legge’s contempt and rancor is misplaced. All he has to do is to read and learn that in each and every place where there is Islam, there is violence, repression, ignorance and misery. Alaska and the United States do not need to join the rest of the world where Islam has gained a foothold.

We have a rule of law, not a rule of Imams. HB88 keeps a liberal court from doing harm.
