Mat-Su Steelers hosting football clinic

The Mat-Su Steelers are hosting a youth football clinic Jun 8, June 15 and June 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Colony High School. The clinic is for boys and girls ages 5 to14.

The cost is $75 for all three sessions, and the fee includes a camp T-shirt and sports physical.

PHS football program hosting youth camp

The Palmer High School football program is hosting a youth football camp July 16-18 from 10 a.m. to noon at Palmer High’s Machetanz Field.

The camp is for players entering the third through eighth grades. Those interested are expected to work hard, learn the basics and have fun in a fast-paced, non-contact atmosphere. There is a cost of $30, and the fee includes a T-shirt. Players are asked to bring football cleats, athletic shoes and a water bottle.

Mat-Su Miners in search of host families

The Mat-Su Miners are in search of families to host Miners players during the 2019 summer season.

The Alaska Baseball League organization is looking for families with a clean home who can provide room, board and transportation from early June through early August.
