The Lancer Smith Memorial is typically the largest high school wrestling tournament in Alaska. Things were a bit different this year due COVID-19 mitigation protocol. The event was hosted at two venues, with single-day tournaments at Palmer High and Wasilla High, and three different Valley programs found themselves at the top of the team standings during two days worth of tournaments.

The Palmer Moose were first in the team standings both days at Palmer High, while Wasilla and Colony both finished first at Wasilla High.

On April 24, Palmer finished with 232 total points in the team standings at PHS. Kael Salisbury (112 pounds), Cody Vansiegman (125), Antonio Woodfork (160), Carter Paulson (171), Lucas Frank (215) and Gunner Alderman (285) each won their weight class for the Moose. Boston Postishek (145) and Charlie Sevarance (152) placed first for Redington.

The Moose finished with 176.5 total points in the standings April 23. Salisbury (112), Woodfork (160) and Frank (285) placed first for Palmer. Sevarance (152) placed first for Redington.

At Wasilla, the Warriors finished first with 56 total points in the team standings. Connor Trouy (119), Niles Williams (152), Deshawn Campbell (160), Bradley Keeney (171), Colton Lindquist (189) and Landon Steiner (285) won their weight class.

Colony finished first in the team standings with 275.5 total points on April 23. Matthew Mitchell (112), Ty Hermon (119), Rhett Gallgher (135), Nolan Gallagher (145), Jared Hopkins (152), Aidan Ehmann (171) and Daniel Van Slyke (285) each won their weight class for the Knights.
