The Wasilla Warriors scored a 10-0 prep baseball win over rival Palmer Monday night at Wasilla High School.
Dayton Greer and Evan Dahlen combined to throw a three-hit, five-inning shutout. Pedro Camacho and Jace Crall drove in three runs each during the victory. Will Plowman led Wasilla with four runs scored.
Over the weekend, Wasilla finished second in the Red Edward Matautia Invitational in Kodiak. South Anchorage beat Wasilla twice during the tourney, including the final game.
Wasilla beat Colony 10-3 and host Kodiak 14-4 during the tournament. Plowman collected two hits, four RBI and a run scored during the win over the Knights. George McSorley scored three times.
Pedro Camacho hit for the cycle during the win over Kodiak. Camacho was 4 for 4 at the plate, with three runs and five RBI.
Palmer beat a pair of Interior teams last week.
Moose starting pitcher Gabe Jamie fanned nine hitters during a 14-4 win over Delta. Jaime also drove in five runners at the plate.
Palmer also beat Hutchison 9-7. Spencer Jacobs finished with two runs and two RBI. Coby Duncan also drove in two.
