State volleyball brackets released, Moose to play in nightcap

WASILLA — The Palmer Moose earned the prime time slot and will take the court during the final match of the first day of the ASAA/First National Bank 4A State Volleyball Championships at the Curtis. D. Menard Memorial Sports Center on Thursday.

Palmer, the Northern Lights Conference champs and the host school of the 2010 tourney, open tourney play against Cook Inlet Conference runner-up and defending state champion Dimond at 7:15 p.m. NLC runner-open Wasilla will face CIC champ South Anchorage at 5:30 p.m. Colony, the third seed from the NLC, meets Mid-Alaska Conference champion West Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
