Local musher Zack Steer pulled into Glennallen at 3:01 p.m., Jan. 13 to win the Copper Basin 300 dog sled race.
The Palmer native arrived at Pinneo Park, the race's starting and finishing point, 11 minutes prior to second place Lance Mackey.
The top 10 mushers reached the finish point on the afternoon and evening of Jan. 13.
Carla Kelly was the 33rd and last musher to cross the finish line. Kelly concluded the race at 2:03 p.m., Wednesday.
Eleven mushers did not complete the event.
The Copper Basin 300 is one of the major preliminary races prior to the Iditarod. The annual Iditarod is slated to begin March 2 in Wasilla.
