I write this letter in response to a fatal motorcycle accident that happened on July 6 east of Sutton on the Glenn Highway. It involved three riders, one who impacted a motor home and consequently died.
It is bad enough to lose a fellow biker, but the actions of his companion riders, as related by witnesses to Alaska State Troopers, are beyond comprehension. I was at the scene, but did not witness the actual accident. How his two friends could ride up and witness their buddy in the ditch having sustained fatal injuries and just ride off leaves one mystified.
It’s been two months since this tragedy took place and still the lack of compassion shown by these two fellow human beings bothers me greatly. I remain perplexed by their conduct, for only they know in their hearts their reasons.
