The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is asking businesses to report damages experienced during the recent wind storm. The borough is in the process of gathering, compiling and submitting damage surveys of businesses and commercial facilities and buildings to the state Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management.
The information will be used to determine the level of assistance that may be available to the Mat-Su business community. Businesses can report their damages at https://damage.matsugov.us by completing the simple and easy to use questionnaire.
Photos of damage should be submitted along with contact information for the registered owner or manager at the business. Damaged businesses should also contact their insurance provider to determine what damages if any are covered by the carrier, and to begin with repairs as appropriate.
Documenting the damages with photos, as well as associated costs, receipts and any work performed are good practices for any potential insurance or related eligible disaster assistance.
Please contact the Mat-Su EOC call center at 907 861 7900 during regular business hours.
