Houston voters picked two new faces to serve on the city’s city council last night.
In a tight race, Paul Stout won over Rosemary Burnett by 21 votes to claim Seat F.
Kathy Barney beat write-in candidate Lee Himes by big margins to claim Seat G.
And newcomer James Johansen won Seat E against challenger and fellow political newcomer Alma Hartley.
Election results will be certified at the Monday, Oct. 11 Houston Council Meeting. And the new council will vote to select the Mayor and Deputy Mayor from among its members.
