Stranger’s kindness greatly appreciated

To the editor,

I don't know if you all do this kind of thing, but if there's any extra space in the paper, I’d like to send a massive THANK YOU to a man named Shane from Wasilla, who returned my SOG knife to my work place (Sheep Mountain area).

The knife must’ve fallen from my pocket on the hitch to Palmer — Shane had kindly offered me a ride on his way home to his family. It was a double kindness that he took the trouble to drop the knife off where I could reconnect with it, the next time he was in the area.

The knife has huge sentimental value, as it was a gift from my brother (a former Marine, like

Shane himself), and I was incredibly happy to see it after figuring it had been lost in town for good.

Blessings on Shane, his wife and their baby girl!

Peace and Feliz Navidad!
