Wasilla senior Celeste Colegrove has been named the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman Student–Athlete of the Week.
Colegrove scored nearly half her team’s points during a 40-32 win over North Pole on Saturday.
Colegrove, a four-year varsity player for the Warriors, netted 10 of Wasilla’s 16 first-quarter points en route to her game high.
“She’s our most consistent player, she gives everything she’s got,” Wasilla head coach Jeannie Hebert-Truax said after the win. “She takes everything to heart and will do whatever you ask her to do.”
Colegrove also scored 18 during a win over West Valley on Friday.
Off the court, Colegrove is enrolled in advanced placement courses and is near the top of her senior class academically.
The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman congratulates Colegrove on her success.
