Student musicians picked to perform

When it comes to making music, Valley students are hitting high notes.

Numerous students from around the Valley were honored as all-state band, choir and orchestra selections by the Alaska School Activities Association recently. Because of their selections, the students will be performing in the 2003 ASAA All-State high School Music Festival in Fairbanks Nov. 20-22.

The festival is held at West Valley High School. There will be three days of music, with a public performance planned following rehearsals on Nov. 21 and Nov. 22. The performances are at the Herring Auditorium at Lathrop High School, also in the Fairbanks area.
