Micah Rausa
Senior, Mat-Su Central School and Career and Technical High School
“This student should be the student of the year based on his work ethic, positive attitude and knowledge base,” said Matt Welk, the teacher/adviser who nominated Micah. “Micah works in the IT department at Mat-Su Central School as well as tutors students in the technology lab. He attends Career and Technical High School and is industrious at his home school studies.”
Rausa works 20 hours at MSCS and volunteers more than 10 hours per week working with students on technology skills.
“His positive attitude is contagious as he interacts with staff and students alike,” Welk says in his nomination. “Micah is a valued asset to our school and a key player in the development and success of the IT department and technology lab at MSCS. He is a positive role model and a great ambassador for MSCS.”
Congratulations to Micah Rausa, the MSBSD Student of the Week!
