Students earn recognition

• Samantha Everett, Colony High School junior and commander of the JROTC battalion, has been selected to be among 1,000 attendees at West Point’s prestigious Summer Leaders Seminar in June. She also will attend the summer seminar at the Air Force Academy, the AIM program at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and the 2012 U.S. Naval Academy Summer Seminar program.

• Keri Clump of Wasilla was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Montana State University Billings in Billings, Mont.

• Anna Woodall of Wasilla made the honor roll for spring semester 2012 at Bethel University, McKenzie, Tenn.

• Nicole Levinson of Wasilla was named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Clarion, Penn.

• Jessica Wetherell of Palmer earned a master’s of music degree from the Townsend School of Music of Mercer University, Macon, Ga., during the May commencement.

• Andrew Bryan Ford of Wasilla, majoring in global studies, was named to the honor roll at Gardner-Webb University, Boiling Springs, N.C.

• Caitlin Pinkerton of Wasilla, majoring in marketing, was named to the honor roll at Gardner-Webb University, Boiling Springs, N.C.
