What does it take to get 90 students from at least 10 Mat-Su Borough School District elementary schools to come to school on a Saturday? How about this year’s Math Derby, organized at Cottonwood Creek Elementary School by teacher Jennifer Bleicher and held this past Saturday. This year, top honors went to Sherrod Elementary School; in second place was Cottonwood Creek Elementary; and winning third was Machetanz Elementary School.
