‘Students Showcase’ honorees announced

PALMER — Five Matanuska-Susitna College students were selected April 5 as examples of exceptional student achievement at the Students Showcase of Excellence.

Emily Gelino-Bequette received first place for a self-portrait she created for an art class.

Haley Stout earned second place for a paper she wrote for an English class.

Cari Miller achieved third place for a PowerPoint presentation she developed for a chemistry class.

These students participated in the 2014 MSC Student Showcase and were three of eight “A” students who presented one of their most outstanding papers or projects from the 2012-2013 academic year.

Honorable mentions were Jerad Grice, Nadia Meyers, Levi Alexander, Riana Sather and Jacob Magoon. Mat-Su College says it is proud to showcase student achievements.
