TALKEETNA -- The Susitna Valley women's team won the team title of their own invitational Saturday.
The Rams posted a team score of 45 to edge the Palmer Moose women in the annual Susitna Valley Invitational Cross Country meet.
The Ram women had three runners place in the top ten. Less than a second separated Su Valley's Melissa Ostermick and Jenny Thompson. Ostermick crossed the finish line just ahead of Thompson to claim third place in the race.
Krystal Moore finished ninth for SVHS.
Houston's Linnea Pudwill won the women's event. Kathleen Lafrance of Palmer finished second.
Palmer took home the men's team trophy led by the running of the Dickson brothers.
Aaron and Drew Dickson finished in the 1-2 spots for the fifth time this season. Teammate Rory Egelus finished third.
Grace Christian edged Anchorage Christian by one point for second place.
Nearly 200 runners from 25 teams took part in the invitational.
